2005 RESERVE CHARDONNAY

Tasting Note: The 2005 Reserve Chardonnay is the first of our Oldbury Range. The fruit was carefully selected from a premium site within the Southern Highlands district. A fine well balanced chardonnay showing citrus, pineapple and sweet vanilla aromas. The palate is full flavoured, fruit driven with elegant nutty characters. This combination has been achieved through ripe cool climate chardonnay barrel aged in American oak for a period of 9 months.

Enjoy with: This wine would be best suited to creamy poultry dishes or lighter meat dishes.

2004 RESERVE SHIRAZ

Tasting Note: The 2004 Reserve Shiraz is the first of our Oldbury Range. The fruit was carefully selected from a premium site within the Southern Highlands district. A fine well balanced Shiraz showing rich fruit flavours of ripe berries, spicy chocolate & white pepper aromas. The use of American Oak has added characters of creamy vanilla.

Enjoy with: A perfect match for red meat dishes.

2007 RIESLING

Tasting Note: Attractive pale straw colour. Delightful fresh floral aromas and flavour highlights of green lime citrus on the nose, with a balanced fruit driven palate; refreshing with plenty of mouth lingering flavours ending with clean crisp acidity.

Cellaring: Drinking well now, this finely structured wine will cellar well.

Enjoy with: Thai green curry; Grilled scallops.

2007 SAUVIGNON BLANC

Tasting Note: Pale straw colour with green tints. This wine is showing great depth of flavour.
With spicy fruit tones & overwhelming passionfruit aromas. Rich mouth filling flavours with a crisp clean finish.

Cellaring: Drinking best now or within the next two years.

Enjoy with: Oysters and other shellfish. Asian cuisine.

2006 CHARDONNAY

2007 GOLDEN VALE BOTRYTIS CHARDONNAY

Tasting Note: Hot on the heels of our highly acclaimed 2007 Botrytised Sauvignon Blanc we have blended a small parcel of botrytised Sauvignon Blanc with Semillon from the Riverina which is the Australian home of the sticky.  Our Blend has produced a very elegant wine showing delicate semi-dried peach notes with up front gooseberry aromas. A balanced and excellent fine acidity, luscious but not cloying mouth feel.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2010

Enjoy with: Deep fried camembert; hearty fruit flan

2006 PINOT NOIR

Tasting Note: Typically lighter in depth and colour; the wine shows ripe cherry notes with hints of game and forest floor. Good structure and layers of soft tannin, smooth velvety mouth feel.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2010

Enjoy with: Peking Duck; try with a seared salmon steak.

2005 SHIRAZ

Tasting Note:Brick red in colour. Rich fruit flavours of ripe berries, spice and plumbs integrate well with subtle French oak characters. Well balanced acidity, delicate tannins and a mouth filling finish. 

Cellaring:
Although enjoyable now, will repay with medium term cellaring.

Enjoy with: Seared kangaroo fillets; full flavoured beef. Mature hard cheese.

2005 MERLOT

Tasting Note: Attractive deep brick red colour. This wine bursts with intense ripe mulberry flavours, overlayed with well integrated French oak and delicate tannins. Full mouth filling flavours.

Cellaring:
Enjoyable now, will cellar well over the next three to four years.

Enjoy with: Veal shanks.Try with seared tuna steak.

2006 CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Tasting Note: Deep red in colour with complexity to match. Subtle blackcurrant & dark mint flavours combine with the sweet vanillan French oak characters. An excellent match with venison dishes.

Tasting Note: The Moscato is a fruit driven style made from muscat of Alexandria grapes. Our Moscato shows floral notes & hints of musk. The palate is full & slightly spritzy.

Tasting Note: When Winemaker Eddy Rossi blended 40% Sangiovese into the 60% Shiraz. The result is spectacular; spicy Shiraz combined with expressive Sangiovese fruit flavours.

Tasting Note: A lifted delicate nose with fresh lemon zest from the Chardonnay fruit & strawberries & cream from the Pinot Noir. The palate is fruit driven, fresh & well balanced with lingering flavours & a great mouth feel.

2006 CLASSIC WHITE
Tasting Note: Pale straw in colour. The elegance and flinty structure of the colombard (60%) has combined well with the fuller more intense flavours of chardonnay (40%) creating a very drinkable and balanced wine. Fruit for this wine was sourced from selected vineyards in New South Wales.

Cellaring: Enjoyable now.

Enjoy with: A wine to suit many food styles including chicken and stronger flavoured seafood.

2007 SEMILLON SAUVIGNON BLANC
Tasting Note:Gold-Green in colour. The blend of 60% Semillon and 40% sauvignon blanc has created a finely structured wine showing full flavoured complexity of Semillon herbaceousness with additional spicy notes of passionfruit of the sauvignon blanc. A very drinkable and balanced wine.

Cellaring: Delightful now.

Enjoy with: This ‘easy drinking’ wine compliments a variety of food from poultry to Thai cuisine.

2005 CABERNET MERLOT
Tasting Note: Purple red in colour. A blend of two classic varieties, 80% cabernet sauvignon and 20% merlot has produced a delightful well balanced wine with rich and soft fruit flavours and subtle tannins. Fruit for this wine was sourced from specially selected vineyards in New South Wales.

Cellaring: Enjoyable now.

Enjoy with: Roasted pork ribs; Excellent with Italian food.

Tasting Note: Tasting Note: A rosé with a delightful pastel pink colour produced from sauvignon blanc fermented over shiraz skins.  A wine with abundant ‘up front fruit’, delicious in the modern style, fresh, crisp, light & refreshing. Its subtle sweetness is well balanced by its crisp acidity & clean finish.
